13.5 hours till i walk into my last exam of the semester, then its a ten minute packing job and out the door toronto bound....and we all know what that means....no internet!
so for the next three weeks if you visit this site just choose the most appropriate of the following:
merry christmas, happy new year, good luck to anyone still writing exams, go team canada jr., astros sign beltran, mike wins both his football pools, i love snow, how cool is egg nog, i hate snow and wow the break went by fast.

I know the AHL game was last week but i've been recovering from breathing the dirty hamilton air, anyway it was great!
i decided to go with the 'HEY matty you rock!' when stajan was skating around for the warm-up, mainly cause i didn't want him to think i was with the girls sitting right near us with the "OMG We (heart) Matt Stajon" and no thats not a typo, thats exactly what the sign said....fuckin clowns....my favorite part what when he fired a slapshot at the glass right in front of them and they all dove for cover.
the only healthy scratch that i had heard of was harold druken....poor guy....colliacavo, perrot, wellwood, wilm(hahaha), and white all played....telquist was the back up, but the guy they played was pretty decent.....coupla nice goals, coupla good fights and a few drunkies getting kicked out after trying to scrap the mascot for knocking their $10 beers over....that was freakin hilarious
oh yeah and i almost forgot about the dumbest planning ever....so of course you're gonna get a ton of folks from toronto to see these games, and they have tigercats appreciation night right after the argos won the grey cup.....i felt bad for all the old school guys having to put up with the "AAAARRRRRRGOOOOOOS!" chants raining down from the stands....but it was all good
i think thats all the fun stuff i remember...peace out

*sniff sniff* smells like playoffs....and we all know what that means....playoff pools!!
i've decided to do two the same as last year

NO $, just bragging rights on the line here:

Pool 1: just pick your teams for each matchup all the way to the cup winner, you get points based on your pick's seeding times the round a win occurs in

Pool 2: 3 forwards, 2 defencemen, 1 team's goalie(s)....all from different teams...a goal = 2points, an assist = 1point, and a team win is worth 2 points

if anyone cares just e-mail your picks to wingnut_25@hotmail or message me online before the pucks drops on the first playoff game this week

haven't posted in a bit and i've got some random thoughts floating around so sit back and enjoy

- the belak / messier suspensions were a joke! 6 + 2 for accidentally hitting a guy in the head with a stick vs. 2 games for INTENTIONALLY spearing another man in the groin!.....stupid, stupid, stupid....and did anyone hear them head office trying to defend the judgments?, at least that was entertaining

- hopefully i'm not putting the curse on it now, but having all 6 canadian teams in the playoffs would be hype....and i'd be even more pumped if the blues were eliminated in favour of nashville

- and how bout that kaberle....damn his stock took a nosedive, and quick

- the wings are so hurting for healthy defencemen that ray whitney is getting time on the blue line, apparently sami kapenen in phillidelphia is too.....i like seeing players play out of position, it makes the game a little more interesting....next i want the leafs to try leech at forward (if he can be the offensive player of the week from the blueline just think what he'd do up front)

- i have officially named ludacris the greatest rapper ever.....don't bother argueing that point either cause its official

- all-star survivor is on tonight, haven't seen it in a couple weeks so its time to catch up

- 4 more lectures in each class before finals....shit its go time now

- "i figure eight when my mind goes in circles,
did i do that? or was is mystical and urkel"

- i've missed most of the ncaa tourny, but one thing i do know is that my st. louis bracket is done....DONE....everyone got upset.....damn

- thats enough outta me for now....back to a stats assignment

Norm MacDonald on old school Weekend Update:
"Who are safer drivers? Men, or women? Well, according to a new survey, 55% of adults feel that women are most responsible for minor fender-benders, while 78% blame men for most fatal crashes. Please note that the percentages in these pie graphs do not add up to 100% because the math was done by a woman."
[Crowd groans.]
"For those of you hissing at that joke, it should be noted that joke was written by a woman."
[Silence]
"See, now you don't know what the hell to do, do you?"
[Laughter]
"Nah, I'm just kidding, we don't hire women."
[Laughter, Applause]
******************************************

ok this one is long, but i think its damn funny:

Harry Caray: Hi everybody Harry Caray here, and welcome to Space The Infinite Frontier. We've got a great show lined up for ya, joining us in the studio today all the way from Cal-Tech is astrophysicist Dr. Ken Waller. Welcome to the show Ken.

Dr. Ken Waller: Thank You! It's nice to be here.

Harry Caray: Now Dr. recently they discovered that there might be life on one of the moons of Jupiter. Now that's gotta be exciting for ya.

Dr. Ken Waller: Oh yes Harry we're thrilled to discover that theoretically life could exist below the surface of planet due to the heat caused by volcanic activity.

Harry Caray: That's something else. Let me ask what's your favorite planet.

Dr. Ken Waller: Well, I don't have a favorite. I find them all fascinating there all a part of a-

Harry Caray: Mine's the sun. Always has been. I like it because it's like the king of planets.

Dr. Ken Waller: Well, Actually Harry, it's not a planet...it's a star.

Harry Caray: Well! Planet or star, when that thing burns out were all gonna be dead.

Dr. Ken Waller: Well that's true but it's not gonna burn out for a very long time.

Harry Caray: I hope not...Dr. have you ever seen an eclipse.

Dr. Ken Waller: Ah! Yeah I've seen many.

Harry Caray: You know if you stare at it head on it'll burn your eyes out.

Dr. Ken Waller: Well it's not best to stare at the sun in an eclipse..

Harry Caray: Well it's hard not to. I once took a pair of binoculars and stared at the sun for over a hour.

Dr. Ken Waller: Why would you do that?

Harry Caray: Curiosity I guess. Heck I'm curious as a cat. I have a couple of friends that call me Whiskers.

Dr. Ken Waller: Because you're curious like a cat...

Harry Caray: Hey! Now Ken we all know that the moon is not made of green cheese.

Dr. Ken Waller: Yes, that's true Harry.

Harry Caray: But what if it were made of barbeque spare ribs: wouldja eat it then?

Dr. Ken Waller: Uh...

Harry Caray: I know I would. Heck I'd have seconds. Then polish it off with a tall, cool, budweiser.

Dr. Ken Waller: Yeah...

Harry Caray: Would you?

Dr. Ken Waller: I'm confused.

Harry Caray: It's a simple question, doctor. Would you eat the moon if it were made of ribs.

Dr. Ken Waller: I don't know how to answer that.

Harry Caray: It's not rocket science. Just say yes and we'll move on.

Dr. Ken Waller: Uh....Yes?

Harry Caray: Hey! What about this mad cow disease.

Dr. Ken Waller: ...what about it.?

Harry Caray: Well it was here for a while and now it's gone. Your thoughts.

Dr. Ken Waller: Yes, yes, it was in the news for a while then it disappeared.

Harry Caray: Good point! I hope I never get it. Hey! What about this! If you had the choice of being the top scientist in your field or getting mad cow disease what would it be.

Dr. Ken Waller: well! Of course I would choose to be the the top scientist in my field...

Harry Caray: Oh good! I was worried you'd pick mad cow.

Dr. Ken Waller: Why would you think that.

Harry Caray: I don't know I'm just a worrier I guess. That's why my friends call me "Whiskers."

Dr. Ken Waller: I thought you said your friends call you Whiskers cause you're curious as a cat.

Harry Caray: Well Dr. Waller it has been a pleasure. We've covered a lot of ground and shared a few laughs. Thanks for coming on.

Dr. Ken Waller: My pleasure.

Harry Caray: He's a good kid. That's all the time we he have join us next week with our guest Albert Einstein.

(Station manager whispers into Harry Caray's ear)

Harry Caray: What! Well apparently Albert Einstein died 42 years ago. You know what, we'll try to get him anyway. See you next time. Cubs win! Cubs win!

Batting second for team procrastination: Mike 'King of the All-Nighter' LeSage

Bondra to the Sens....good for them, and for their owner saying 'you can never have too much firepower'

Dominik Hasek is still showing up at practice, and according to yahoo sports when asked about Hasek, one player said: "Is he here again today?" When another player returned to his locker after getting a jersey autographed by Hasek, a player sitting nearby asked the other player if Hasek had recognized him.

   Sunday, February 08, 2004
Today was a good day, after almost three years in guelph and talking about going out to a storm game (our ohl team)we finally made it....we've watched a lot of the games on tv but never made it out.....so today we get out there and they're almost sold out, the only seats left are 7 rows back right at center ice!....best seats i've ever been in for a hockey game....guelph was down 3-2 with 2 minutes to go and took a penalty (Dan Pialle - 2 minutes for roughing), then erie takes a penalty with 12 seconds to go and we tie the game, the crowd goes wild!......opening faceoff in over time won by guelph, marty st. piere throws a breakout pass across the middle to the aforemeantioned dan pialle, he fakes the backhand, slides it to the forehand and puts it home 7 seconds into overtime!!!!
damn that was exciting.....anyone that makes the trip to guelph has got to schedule it around a storm game now

Just some random rap quotes i'm liking right now:

"come on now y'all know gold is getting old,
tha ice in my teeth keeps the cristal cold"

"i drink a boost for breakfast, an ensure for dizzert,
somebody orders pancakes, i just sipped the sizzurp"

"i must got an angel, look how death missed his ass,
unbreakable, what you thought they call me mr. glass"

"cause it must be a single with nate dogg singin on it"

"gangsta never trust a ho, they get ya set up fast,
put ya hands in the air like a busta show"

"party animal, here since a quarter to ten,
babyface, 6'2" with an L.A. brim"

thumbs up to anyone that can I.D. the songs and/or speakers

-team canada should name the same coaching staff as they had for the gold (and add andy murray), and these should be the lines:

shanahan - thorton - bertuzzi (toughness + scoring)
kariya - sakic - iginla (a little finess)
yzerman - spezza - heatley (yzerman gets the 'C', great influence on the under 22s)
nash - lemieux - murray (i don't want mario on the team but i'm drawing a blank at center....maybe draper)

blake - pronger
niedermayer - jovanovski
foote - bouwmeester

Brodeur - Belfour - Luongo

"hey school, below me!"

so i'm sitting here pondering real life trade rumors, and trying to swing some GM business in a couple pools.....and praying for a snow day.....damn we got dumped on pretty good in guelph today, and they're calling for 25 more cm overnight
today was a brutal day, 3 assignments due, 5 classes and a midterm....it all went smoothly, but damn it was a long day....i would love for nothing more than a snow induced day off *fingers crossed*

so i'll leave you with a little something to think about.....if the wings pull off the two deals i'm hearing the most about how does this look as a forward lineup:
zetterberg - datsyuk - hull
shanahan - yzerman - bondra
maltby - draper - mccarty
whitney - zhamnov - thomas
can you say stanley cup?

p.s. pray for a snow day!

my computer is fixed!....suck on that shit you damn dirty virus

okay now that i've got that out of my system i'm good to go.....been a while since i've posted in any volume....whats new with me you ask?.....nuthin really, fucked up my back somehow, school kinda blows...thats bout it

patriots are gonna dominate next weekend....the wings should still be trying to trade cujo, if hasek blows up legace is good enough to bring the cup home....jagr for carter, i feel bad for anson cause hes either gonna be moved again before the deadline or he'll end up being one of the only name guys left on that team, as for the rangers, jagr is good enough to get them into the playoffs (or to be traded for cujo) but as i say that i keep in mind the fact that i also thought getting bure and kovalev were sure-fire playoff makers.....other recent trade roumors i've heard: burke to colorado to backup aebischer, zhamnov to detroit, kolzig AND gonchar to philly, federov back to detroit (i doubt it, but he'd still be welcome) and bondra to ottawa.....the nhl all-star starters made me pretty mad, then the reserve anouncements come out and what happens, mad shafting, who makes it from boston? a defenceman! from that team are you kidding me?!
